Our Responsible Investment Policy defines our approach to sustainable investing. It describes how we integrate environmental, social and governance insights (ESG) into our decision-making and active ownership activities to identify sustainability related opportunities and risks at every stage – from due diligence to post-investment monitoring.
During due diligence each investment undergoes rigorous ESG screening and we consider the potential negative effects of our investment decisions on sustainability factors. Given that we invest in start-ups across different industries and stages of growth, we apply our own set of sustainability requirements for investment and follow-up in portfolio management. Our stringent investment and portfolio monitoring, focusing on enhancing performance and identifying risks, includes ESG factors.
We understand our obligations as a financial market participant under act no. 25/2023 on Sustainable Finance Disclosure. However, we believe that demonstrating commitment to sustainability is not merely a legal requirement but a fundamental responsibility of fund managers and that aligning our work with the principles and requirements set out in the regulation and our own RI policy will benefit all our stakeholders. Implementing ESG into decision-making is furthermore an effective risk management tool and it enables our companies to identify new opportunities, gain competitive advantage and attract qualified and passionate employees.
